Freedom Weight Loss is an easy program to follow, but for some, even making one or two permanent changes can seem very difficult--like a mountain. You need help, and this help is available freely to all that will accept it. This help comes from a higher source.
The Bible is full of words of hope for you. You may not have will power, but God will give you power to make all the changes you need to make-not in your own strength, but in the strength of Christ. As it says in the book of Philippians, chapter 4, verse 13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." You have been a slave to your habits, but God wants to set you free. Jesus said: "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" He also said: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." The Son is Jesus, and Jesus is God. The God that created the universe wants to set you free from the slavery of your old habits that have kept you imprisoned in a heavier body than you would like to have. Isn't this awesome? How is this done? How does God set you free? We have already said it. He gives you strength. The Bible says that you can do all things, through Christ who strengthens you. That includes losing weight naturally. You can memorize this verse and repeat it. It is a promise that you can lose weight through Christ who will make you strong. You can say to your self: I am free to be thin because God has set me free.
Over-eating is a widespread problem because it is a genetic tendency. We all have it. In the book, Counsels On Diet And Foods, it says: "Over-eating is the sin of this age." But with some, it is much, much worse. It is a behavior, an addiction, just like we have alcoholics and drug addicts, we also have addicts to food. These food addicts we could call foodaholics. Now these kind of individuals, maybe you are one of them, when they have stress or when they are nervous or depressed, they have a compulsion to eat. They have no control over it. They have to eat now, and the desire is overwhelming, just like the strong desire for alcohol that alcoholics have. Now, I am not talking about natural hunger, when the body needs to be nourished. Foodaholics have a desire to eat when it is not necessary and when it will be harmful, plus a desire of overeat, or stuff yourself. If that is your experience, you can find help in God. In a sense a foodaholic is as impotent to overcome the habit as an alcoholic or a drug addict.
